Terms of use

Welcome to Chance. Your use of the app and this website is subject to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the service. The service is operated by Gilad Shavit, Israel ("we").
1. The service
Chance lets you start private football prediction leagues, invite friends, guess results, change a guess during the match for a points penalty, and compete in a table. The service is free.
2. No money, no gambling
Chance is a game for fun. There is no gambling, no payment and no winning of money or prizes, and points have no value outside the app. You may not use the service to organise betting or wagers for money.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- One account per person. You are responsible for the details you give and for keeping your password safe.
- Usernames, names and league names must not be offensive, misleading or impersonate anyone.
4. Leagues
A league's manager sets its settings: the competitions and matches, the scoring, live changes and their penalties, and can remove members. When a manager leaves, the league passes to another member. We are not a party to disputes between league members.
5. Fair use
Do not try to get around the game's rules or the service's mechanisms, automate it, overload it, break into it, or harm other users. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
6. Match data and scoring
Fixtures, results and the live minute come from an outside provider (football-data.org) and may be delayed or wrong. When a result is corrected, scores are recalculated. A postponed or cancelled match is handled by the app's rules. Scoring decisions based on this data are final.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its design and the Chance mark belong to us. Team and competition names and crests belong to their owners and are shown for identification only; Chance is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
8. Availability and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make efforts to keep it working, but we do not promise it will run without interruptions or errors, and we may change or discontinue parts of it. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage from using the service.
9. Ending
You can delete your account at any time, as described in Delete your account. Your information is handled under the privacy policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will announce a material change in the app or by email, and continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any rights the law of your country gives you as a consumer.
